Our Jazz, Lyrical & Acro Programs

Jazz is an energetic dance form typically performed to the popular music of today. Dancers will study the basics of Jazz technique built on Ballet. Additional choreography classes are available for those wishing to compete in a Jazz group.

Lyrical is a fusion of Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance, where students learn about the emotional interpretation of dance and typically perform to ballads. A competitive lyrical class is available for dancers wishing to add it on to their Ballet and/or Jazz program.

Jazz classes are available for Junior (Elementary age) and Senior (Junior High + up).
Lyrical is available for Senior (Junior High + up).
*New* Introduction to Acro is recommended for ages 7-11.

This class is designed for children aged 8-10 who are new to the practice of acrobatics and may not have much previous experience in gymnastics or related disciplines. The class aims to introduce participants to fundamental acrobatic skills, focusing on building strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Jazz Technique

Designed to develop the required skills and technique for Jazz steps and movements, to be recommended for competition or purely for personal enjoyment.

Jazz Choreography

An additional class focused on creating group Jazz routine to enter in dance competitions. Ballet and Stretch are pre-requisites for the competitive Jazz program.

Dancers in our competitive choreography program must be able to commit to all rehearsals, competitions and performances, and will be expected to meet all dress, hair and makeup requirements as outlined by the choreographer. Due to the team nature of competing with a group, dancers must be fully dedicated as their fellow dancers and instructor count on them in order for the group to be successful.

Lyrical
