January Classes

Get moving this new year while we’re all stuck at home! Celtic Ceilidh is currently accepting registration for our adult fitness classes, and also offering two new 8-week introductory sessions for wee dancers age 3 to 6.

Note: classes are currently taking place online due to public health restrictions. They may return to in-studio classes should these restrictions change. If you wish to review our studio’s COVID-19 protocols, you can find them here.

8-Week Introductory Classes for Children Age 3-6

Intro to Celtic

This half-hour class will introduce your child to the basic positions and movements of both Highland and Irish dancing over 8 weeks, in a fun and engaging environment.

Time: February 6 to March 27 – Saturdays from 1:35 to 2:05 p.m.

Cost: $75+GST for 8 Weeks

Intro to Ballet

If you have a little ballerina who has been prancing around your home, give them the opportunity to learn the foundational movements of Ballet dancing in this half-hour class over 8 weeks.

Time: February 6 to March 27, Saturdays from 12:05 to 12:35 p.m.

Cost: $75+GST for 8 Weeks

Adult Fitness Classes

Barre Bootcamp

Barre classes combine elements of Ballet and Pilates for a workout that engages your core and helps improve your strength and flexibility. These classes are suitable for adults and a great way to fit in a workout while your dancer is in class, and are also beneficial for our senior dancers (age 16+) looking for additional cross-training. All levels are welcome!

Time: Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Options available include:

Cost: 12-week spring session $215+GST. Winter and full-year session registration fees will be pro-rated depending on your start date.

Pilates (Online)

Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates and can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk.

It is a safe, sensible exercise system that will help you look and feel your very best. It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates also improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.

Time: Tuesdays 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. OR Thursdays 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. (online)
